Cycling
The towns of the Cerdanya Valley in northern Catalunya are interconnected by a centuries-old infrastructure of agricultural asphalt and dirt roads, making it a gravel and E-bike paradise. Traverse the mountain roads from village to village, or roll out along the banks of the beautiful Segre River.

Cuisine
This region's cuisine is hearty, rustic, and shaped by its alpine geography. Proximity to France brings rich sauces not normally found in Spanish cuisine, and high-pasture livestock means exceptional quality meats. Mountain dairy farms produce a huge variety of cow, goat and sheep cheeses.

Culture
The Cerdanya is a wide valley straddling the border between Spain and France and known for its 3000+ hours of sunlight per year. An impressive network of prehistoric Iberian ruins and Romanesque architecture spans the hillsides near Puigcerdà and the Spanish enclave of Llivia.

Base Camp: Hotel Xalet de Golf
Hotel Xalet del Golf is a classic mountain and golf hotel located on the grounds of the Real Club de Golf Cerdanya in Bolvir, near Puigcerdà. Originally built in 1948 and renovated under new ownership, it's a comfortable combination of rustic and modern, a tasteful tribute to the historic understated aesthetic of the Cerdanya Valley.

"Your knowledge and understanding of this valley are outrageous. Endless anecdotes and friends crawling out of the woodwork at every turn! The rides were breathtaking (sometimes literally), and the food was incredible. I never thought I would have a 5-star dinner at a glider airport".
